Computer Networks and Communications are the platforms that provide infrastructure for other industries to operate and grow. With the rapid development of network technology and the Internet in the era of technology revolution 4.0, network applications and services have gradually changed in all areas of life. This boosts the demand for human resources in the Computer Network and Communications industry at present and in the future, which is essential and plays a very important role in all agencies, organizations and businesses. The full-time Bachelor program in Computer Networking and Communication is designed to provide students with the foundation knowledge in the area of ​​expertise, understanding of the profession being trained, and the ability to acquiring modern scientific and technological achievements so that they can do in-depth research and expand their knowledge to meet the development needs of society.

Program Learning Outcomes

For basic knowledge, Learners will be equipped with general knowledge of mathematics, natural sciences, social sciences and humanities, foreign languages; knowledge of computer networks, data communication techniques, routing and switching, network security, network management, wireless network, network analysis and design, network programming, mobile communications, transmission multimedia, parallel computing, distributed programming etc. In particular, the trainees will be practicing the project at the enterprise.

You are expected to develop following Program Learning Outcomes: Enabling Knowledge, Critical Analysis, Analyse and model requirements and constraints for the purpose of designing and implementing network applications and other network systems, Evaluate and compare designs of such systems, Problem Solving, Communication, Present and explain complex network applications and other network solutions, alternative solutions, and decision recommendations to both IT and non-IT personnel via technical reports of a professional standard and technical presentations.

Team Work, Responsibility, Life-long learning are also expected PLOs. 

Career

Graduates are able to work in various positions such as: analysts, designers, network administrators, system administrators, administration and network security monitoring officers, network security officers/managers, software development engineers in different IT organizations like leading network and communications service providers, leading IT and software developers in the country and abroad as well. They have good logical thinking, creative ability to solve practical problems related to the profession, self-learning ability to acquire new knowledge, technology and skills in the development of systems / services related to networking and data communication and also facilitating higher education. In addition, after graduation, they can become researchers or lecturers of universities, colleges and professional institutions throughout the country.
