1. INTRODUCTION

IntroThe Computer Networks and Data Communications programme aims to train high-quality human resources capable of designing, deploying, operating, and securing network systems—the core infrastructure of all digital activities in the era of digital transformation. This field plays a central role in ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient connectivity for organizations, enterprises, and society.

The programme equips students with a solid foundation in computer networking and data communications, integrating theoretical knowledge with practical skills. Students are trained in network design and administration, network and cybersecurity, system troubleshooting, as well as soft skills such as teamwork, professional communication, and professional ethics. The curriculum is developed based on the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) approach, ensuring that graduates meet the demands of the labor market.

Graduates of the Computer Networks and Data Communications programme have diverse career opportunities, including network designers, system administrators, cybersecurity specialists, IT infrastructure engineers, network application developers, and technical consultants. Graduates can work in technology companies, telecommunications service providers, banks, financial institutions, government agencies, and large corporations both domestically and internationally. The demand for professionals in this field remains high and stable.

In response to rapid technological advancement, the Computer Networks and Data Communications programme is continuously updated to adapt to emerging trends such as cybersecurity, cloud computing, Software-Defined Networking (SDN), the Internet of Things (IoT), and the application of artificial intelligence in network management and security. These trends create attractive and long-term career opportunities for learners in the context of the digital economy and digital society.

With a practice-oriented training approach closely aligned with societal needs, the Computer Networks and Data Communications programme aims to develop graduates with strong professional competence, a high sense of responsibility, and lifelong learning ability, enabling them to adapt and thrive in a constantly evolving technological environment.
