1. PROGRAM OVERVIEW

1.1. Introduction

a) General goals

- Training students to develop relatively comprehensive: highly specialized, ethical, good political consciousness.

- Training specialist in theory and professional skills; contribute to providing human resources to serve the industrialization and modernization of the country.

- Serving the needs of learning and improving the level of the people.

b) Specific goals:

- Knowledge:

+ General education knowledge: students are equipped with general education knowledge about political, legal, basic math, foreign language and support skills, physical education and education education defense.

+ Industry-based knowledge: students are equipped with knowledge of specialized mathematics, programming methods, organizational principles and operation of computer systems, applications of information technology. < / p>

+ Specialized knowledge: students are equipped with basic and advanced knowledge in the field of Computer Science. Depending on the self-selected knowledge block for narrow majors, students are equipped with knowledge related to the construction, development and application of information systems for businesses; knowledge of software design, construction, installation, operation and maintenance; knowledge of computer networks and communications, information security and security; research and develop smart and effective software solutions by applying intelligent calculation methods and artificial intelligence;

- Skills:

+ Bachelor of Computer Science has the ability to detect and solve problems in the field of Computer Science. Specifically:

o Can apply knowledge of algorithms, effective calculation methods to build IT applications to meet the actual needs of society. Students have good programming ability, can participate in professional software research and development market; capable of analyzing, designing and developing enterprise information systems.

o Apply modern algorithms and computational models to solve real-world professional problems. Ability to research and develop intelligent software systems based on intelligent calculation methods and artificial intelligence.

+ Students after graduation will meet the requirements of employers immediately. Students have good orientation, good planning in career development, high adaptability and self-training to meet new requirements well.

+ Good students can participate in scientific research, self-improvement to be able to continue studying at higher levels.

+ Students receive intensive English training to be able to update their knowledge and work in the IT environment around the world.

+ Students have a professional working style through being equipped:

o Computer Science specializations.

o Practical work experiences in software projects.

+ The Science and Technology Engineer is capable of developing intelligent systems, such as intelligent software, virtual physical systems, robots and systems self-operating system, meeting the requirements of modernizing the production of society. Machine Engineer can take on the roles of software engineer, robot engineer or data scientist. 2. THE EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES

The Expected Learning Outcomes (ELOs) is the starting point of the curriculum design process and is built according to a rigorous, scientific process in which it reflects the vision and mission of the university and faculties and is suitable to the course objectives and meets the needs of stakeholders.

The ELOs will be concretized according to the principle of "directional compatibility" in step-by-step subjects to help learners gain professional qualifications & skills in knowledge, skills, attitudes and professional responsibilities after completing the training program. The content of the program also enhances group work activities, training habits of active self-studies and creative thinking for students to be proactive and ready for development opportunities.

3. CURRICULUM

The curriculum is a system of theoretical and practical knowledge that is designed synchronously with the method of teaching, learning and evaluating learning outcomes to ensure learners accumulate knowledge, gain the necessary competencies according to the published expected learning outcomes corresponding to the university level. The curriculum of Ton Duc Thang University is built in a way that is compatible with the program of the world's TOP 100 universities according to the rankings of QS and THE but is adjusted to suit the conditions and realty in Vietnam and the training target of Ton Duc Thang University.

Periodically, the university reviews and evaluates the curriculum to ensure that the students meet the requirements of society in terms of professionalism after graduation as well as update the changes in technology and new business methods, etc. This process has the full participation of key stakeholders including scientists, employers, alumni, students, and lecturers. The TOP 100 program has been delivered by the university since 2015 to train human resources to meet the labor market and global integration trend, to help students to be more active and self-study, to approach the latest training approaches in the world.
