    The Software Engineering (SE) curriculum of the Faculty of Information Technology (IT), Ton Duc Thang University aims to create bachelors equipped with systematic and modern knowledge, compatible with the world's advanced software engineering program, capable of working and researching IT in Vietnamese as well as the international environment. Graduates have basic scientific knowledge and specialized expertise both in theory and practice; have independent creative thinking ability to handle technical and technological issues in the IT field; have the ability to solve practical requirements for software development, application and build information processing systems for businesses and organizations; having skills in working groups and working according to international standards; have the ability to self-study to continue developing expertise and capture new technologies.

Specialized Knowledge

Major basics

- Know, understand and be able to apply basic knowledge of probability, statistics, algebra and analysis in developing software, information systems or computing systems to meet real social developments.

- Students are equipped with knowledge of computer programming, computer systems, applications of information technology.

 

- Attend the test and meet the subject requirements in the program.

Providing basic knowledge about Computer Science; in-depth knowledge of majors: Software Engineering

- Have basic knowledge of mathematics for Computer Science, have knowledge and practical skills in programming, data structure and algorithm, computer network, operating system and computer organization;

- Have knowledge and practical skills on developing, processing or applying software systems; knowledge of software development processes from design, construction, installation, software operation and maintenance stages;

 

- Attend the test and meet the subject requirements in the program;

- Good analysis and evaluation; applicable to processes and products.

- Ability to analyze and handle calculation problems arising from the practice of using specialized knowledge learned;

- Ability to program and develop software on different platforms such as web platform, mobile platform, embedded system ...; capable of analyzing, designing and developing enterprise information systems.

- Having independent and creative research capabilities to develop products according to their specialties;

- Ability to explore new techniques and technologies in the process of product creation and development.

- Have the necessary skills to participate in software projects with different roles such as business analyzer (BA), software architecture (SA), programming engineer (Developer), software testing engineers, ...

- Apply and show on products created by themselves.
