    Communications and Computer Networks program of Faculty of Information Technology, Ton Duc Thang University to train bachelors equipped with systematic and modern knowledge, compatible with advanced training programs on communications and computer networks in the world, capable of working and researching IT in Vietnam as well as in the international environment. Graduates have basic scientific knowledge and specialized expertise both in theory and practice; capable of independent creative thinking to handle technical and technological issues in the field of computer network systems; have the ability to solve practical requirements on application and build information processing systems for businesses and organizations; having skills in working groups and working according to international standards; have the ability to self-study to continue developing expertise and capture new technologies.

- Know, understand and be able to present clearly about the worldview and humanism of Communism;

- Understand the guidelines and policies of the Communist Party of Vietnam;

- Know, understand and apply basic knowledge of social science in the field of industry;

- Understand, know and apply knowledge of National Defense and People's Security.

Specialized Knowledge

Major basics

- Know, understand and be able to apply basic knowledge of probability, statistics, algebra and analysis in developing software, information systems or computing systems to meet real social developments.

- Have knowledge of computer programming, computer systems and communications, applications of Information Technology.

 

- Attend the test and meet the subject requirements in the program.

Providing basic knowledge about Computer Science; in-depth knowledge of majors: Communications and Computer Networks

- Have basic knowledge of mathematics for Computer Science, have knowledge and practical skills in programming, data structure and algorithm, computer network, operating system and computer organization;

- In-depth knowledge of computer network systems, knowledge of continuous communication systems, internet architecture, knowledge of distributed systems, knowledge of network security, computer system security.

- Knowledge of analyzing, designing, installing, maintaining, managing and exploiting computer and communication networks; knowledge in the field of information security and confidentiality in computer systems.

- Understand the operation process inside the telecommunications company and provide network solutions

- Ability to analyze and handle calculation problems arising from the practice of using specialized knowledge learned;

- Ability to analyze, evaluate and offer solutions for design, construction, and maintenance of computer networks for businesses as well as consulting on systems, communications and computer networks for businesses
